A Quick Post after many Days.
I was reading this great article in chicagotribune which says about how to keep your online identity safe and secure i.e how to cover your web usage tracks online.
There are many ways your can do this but there are some which are really tested and helps you in a long run.
SO I am gonna give you some tips for your online security and removing your traces.

  1. First thing to Do is to switch of your routers when you are offline or gone for sleep. This helps you to get the new IP address (technical name assigned to a computer over Internet) everytime you switch on your computer (but if your ISP provides a temporary IP address). Or better you can put on some timer in the router switch so that it can automatically switch on or off as required.
  2. The second thing you can do to protect your traces online is by the use of web proxies or proxy sites (my niche :0).These proxies help you to browse sites indirectly without giving away your IP address to the site you have browsed. Its an indirect call to sites like this A>>>B>>>C and then back C>>>B>>>A where A,B,C are computers or servers and where B is a proxy server.

By using the Internet, we leave bits and pieces of our identity throughout cyberspace. It’s not impossible for some entity to reassemble many of those bits and pieces to produce a picture of ourselves, regardless of whether that entity is tracking us with good or bad intentions.

Read on more in the Source link directly as I don’t wanna trouble google and spread plagiarism on this beautiful place called Internet.LOL
