In our last post we told you about the benefits of installing custom comment management and moderation system for your blog. In this post we will tell you how to about installing IntenseDebate on your blog.
It is very easy to setup IntenseDebate as they proclaim in 3 easy steps. Just like WordPress 5 Minute installation.

- First you need to create your account (Sign-up) on Intense Debate.
- After you are logged in, enter your website URL on which you need to install Intense Debate.
- After this pick up the platform (currently it supports, WordPress, blogspot (excludes blogspt classic), tumblr and Typepad blogs) for your blog.
- After you are done selecting the platform, it will guide you to the next steps depending upon the platform you chose.
- For WordPress as in our case, you have to download the wordpress plugin for Intense Debate. After unzipping the files upload it under the wp-content/plugins folder and activate this plugin from plugin manager in wordpress dashboard.
- This will now prompt a status message in your wordpress admin header to configure the settings. Now it will prompt you for including, all the previous comments into its own comment system.
- After the process is complete you can manage an moderate comments from both you wordpress comments section or Intense Debate user dashboard.
- After you are done with all the things you can still change settings by going in Settings>>IntenseDebate in wordpress admin.

Also you can include as many websites as you can in a single Intense Debate account and manage their comments from single dashboard. For websites that are not based on the above platforms can also use Intense Debate by including the Javascript snippet (short code) provided by this system into their websites.

Hi, glad u liked the post.
Facebook Connect and Twitter Buttons actually help you login and comment on blogs easily with intense debate.
If you don’t have an intense debate account, the also you can login and comment. Its actually more than one way of authenticating users.
If you have any doubts now please feel free to ask.

5Comluv plugin is also a good way of giving the link love to the commentators in the form of comments. It actually is a way to attract more people to comment on your blog. Yeah only if your posts are good.
I am not using it actually. let me know how this plugin works for you.
