Also you can include as many websites as you can in a single Intense Debate account and manage their comments from single dashboard. For websites that are not based on the above platforms can also use Intense Debate by including the Javascript snippet (short code) provided by this system into their websites.

hi there, thanks for the tips. I have just installed intensedebate and am wondering whats the story with adding the Facebook Connect and twitter buttons?

      @crossanata
Hi, glad u liked the post.
Facebook Connect and Twitter Buttons actually help you login and comment on blogs easily with intense debate.
If you don’t have an intense debate account, the also you can login and comment. Its actually more than one way of authenticating users.
If you have any doubts now please feel free to ask.

  3. Blabberina says:

i used it on blogspot n added comluv plugin =)

    • Inderjeet says:

Comluv plugin is also a good way of giving the link love to the commentators in the form of comments. It actually is a way to attract more people to comment on your blog. Yeah only if your posts are good. :) I am not using it actually. let me know how this plugin works for you.

  4. Blogs and websites that have installed IntenseDebate have experienced a noticeable increase in reader engagement around their content.

I'm trying to figure out if intense debate can infact transfer the comments there BACK into blogger.

  6. raj says:

Any idea how to remove this without loosing all comments? Unfortunately, I installed this and now I'm stuck with the same template forever, since changing the template destroys all comments.

  7. Zerotoinfinite says:

See this is the worst part of intense debate that instead your all comments are good I marked them as -1 [Thumbs down]. Any way you can stop users like this?

    • @singhinder says:

Yeah, I think that is one of the cons of IntenseDebate Commenting System. User can only like/unlike any comment or reply a single time without logging in. One possible solution to this is to enable like/unlike only if a user logs in from one of the channels. (twitter, openId, etc). Anyways I have liked the comments you have unliked before. :) thanks for pointing the flaw. maybe intensedebate people are working in this regard or maybe you know the solution. Share if you know.

  8. Tarun Gupta says:

I am so late in replying to your query. But anyways have you tried installing intense debate plugin with the default wordpress theme. Check, if plugin works with that theme. You can get an idea then as to why plugin is not working with your custom theme. For giving the right answer, I need to know your custom template code. :)
